59/365 Ready for SPRING!

 Cold GO away. That is all I have to say about that.

My son had a bowl of cereal as he shoveled... Yeah.

Made a potato soup but I added velveeta, and veggies and chicken. My child texted me to tell me HOW GOOD IT IS!

58/365 Snow day

 No one really knew it was going to snow. Which means that people who usually avoid driving in it, were caught off guard and got stuck driving in it. Which means, traffic was S-L-O-W and CONGESTED.

 In my between work shifts, I had to take my husband to work, get kid from one school, kid from another school was home for less than 5 minuets and had to get on the road to get a kid and myself to work!  Needless to say there was not a lot of time for photographs. So this is what you get today.

57/365 Icy Elf

 So I was browsing facebook and I see a "Free ELFIE" Ice sculpture at the RAC center downtown. Then moments later my mom calls me to tell me to go downtown and take a photo of this super cool thing made of ice. I asked her if it was an elf, she said she didn't know what it was, but it was cool. Cool and I need a picture to take that is NOT my cat... so I headed that way and sure enough, same elf, different spot (unless there is more than one?) Pretty cool but I thought he'd look cooler at night so I went back and took his photo in the dark. Very COOL!

 Without this project I would have NEVER headed down town once, let alone TWICE once at NIGHT to take a photo of a frozen block of ice carved into an elf shape. I am so glad I am sticking with this!

55/365 shitty day

 Some days I feel like everything is awesome. Every one gets along. Love is in the air. Flowery smells surround us. The sun shines. Then other days my kids hate me, each other, our house is falling apart, the dogs smell bad, someone has gas, and its raining. Today was not really a shitty day. I am certain things could have gone much much worse. I just had no inspiration for a photo. I need to get some ideas flowing!!! Until then here is some toilet paper, and my dinner. 

54/365 The most important meal of the day

 Breakfast. I had some today. I also had over 64oz of water. I also met my steps goal, and went to the gym for 30 minuets. GO ME. I also nearly forgot to take a photo. Luckily I'd snapped my breakfast with my cell. SO that is what you get today!

 As moms we often put ourselves last. My kids are all older now and don't "need" me as much as they used to. I am realizing that I am getting old and fat (ha) so I am going to take time for myself to get healthier. So it was fitting that today would be a "selfie"

52/365 Transformers

 Saturday, or as I have since renamed it LISA DAY!!! I love Lisa days. I get out of my house, we do whatever we would normally do but when your with Lisa, its much better. Just grocery shopping becomes an adventure. Time is always better spent laughing, and were always laughing either at each other, ourselves, our husbands, or others! Today Lisa entertained me by breaking things in the store, and running into a sliding door that didn't open quickly enough. Fun times, Fun times.

 Goodwill score of the day, giant bag of transformers 15.00. Kept little man quiet and happy for the whole time I was over. Except while he was farting on me of course.

51/365 RIP

 Today I heard about a horrible accident at a local lake. Then later found out a young man lost his life in the accident. I was so sad. Before I picked my son up from school I learned the young man was  close friend of my sons. Telling your child that they will not see a good friend ever again is tough. Seeing your child hurt is tough. I am thankful though, that I was able to see my son hurt today. Because another mother will not see her son alive to hurt, to laugh, to cry, ever. I can not even imagine what she is feeling right now. I know the hurt I feel and I didn't even personally know the young man. I am so very very sorry for the loss of him, for the pit in all his friends stomachs. For the what ifs, and why's and all the tears and sadness. This child and his family and friends have been on my mind all weekend. I feel so helpless that I can only pray.

While we are mourning the loss of a loved one, others are rejoicing to meet him behind the veil

50/365 Flower Girl

  I was told today that I cannot wear flowers in my hair. Its unprofessional. I didn't realize that flowers were unprofessional when your a waitress. I have been at my job for 12 years next month, and I've never been told I couldn't wear a flower in my hair. I say show me the dress code rules and until then... Im going to flower it up! :) Flowers in my hair make me happy, and every body likes a happy waitress!

turned 35 today I still feel the same.

  Today was my birthday. It was the usual day. I don't really feel like birthdays are a big deal after childhood. Either way My mom made me a cake (red velvet) my oldest 2 girls left me soggy sappy facebook I love you messages, my son text me a happy birthday I love you. My best friend bought me stuff ( I told her not to buy me stuff ) and my oldest bought me a kitchen mat and chocolate. Hannah baked me a cake which she later shoved IN MY FACE. Feeling the love!

 Snow day? What? 2 days ago it was in the 70's it felt as though spring were here. I wore a hoodie and got HOT. Today school is closed, along with every other business in town because of snow sleet and ice on the roads. However, MY work was open. Apparently one of the only places open to get food. what a day!

 Have you ever noticed how you can go your whole life without hearing a certain word, or knowing about something and once you learn about it... its everywhere? My mom told me about a lady from back in the day that did street photography she saved a documentary for me to watch... Then I see something on facebook and realize its that same lady, and NOW on my flickr grop the assignment is a "selfie" in the style of her! SO crazy how that happens!

I ran up towards the geese hoping they would fly off and I could capture that moment. SCORE!

Today was a very nice valentines day.
My hubby woke up early took mrs. working girl to her second day of work, and got the oil changed in the van.

 He came home with flowers, candy and a card for me. YAY chocolate!

 So after that I went and had some me time taking photos...




Then I spent time with my son, getting dinner and bubo tea (they were out of bubo though). Couldn't have asked for better!

My second oldest got a job today (well Friday I am late to post) She has been looking for a while and then got 3 calls at once when she finally got a call! I think its funny her start date was Friday the 13th.

 She did good, and already says she doesn't much like working... She does however like knowing she can start to save for a car!!! My babies are growing up too fast. BTW she's the cutest carhop I have ever seen... She wouldn't let me get a picture of HER though, so this is what I got for the days memory.

 I've heard it takes 30 days to form a habit and I have to say I think my daily photograph is becoming one... I am really excited to feel like I will keep up with this. The theme this week on my facebook group is "love" so that is why all the mushy stuff. Oh and Valentines Day is Saturday right!?

 At the store checking out, the checker told me that I had "such a sweet smile" It always makes me feel good when people say that! I smile often I feel like smiles are free, and we should share them!!! I like that sometimes people notice!

 So to make my smile extra sweet I stuck some colored sugar on my lips and snapped a selfie. Happy Wednesday!!!

 My group on facebook has a theme this week "LOVE" Since its almost Valentines I suppose. Yesterday it was a fluke really that my photo was a heart. Today though was on purpose. I bought these candies about a week ago when I saw the Valentines things at the store... Specifically to photograph them (I Think that they taste gross!)

 Today I woke up early. Like earlier than I do during the week when I have work. Oddly enough. I enjoyed a cup of coffee and I got down to business. I cleaned the house up, even so much as vacuuming 5 animals worth of fur off the couch and curtains. My baby girl helped me dejunk our junked up sunroom... Then I grocery shopped with my mama. Once I got home I started making tamales!!! It was a full day!

 Today was Lisa day. I had big plans of getting all into her little boys toys and taking some photos of shadows for my assignment this week. That, well it didn't happen! So here are some colored pencils photographed yet another new way today! Sorry. I'll be more creative tomorrow!

 Well I am early today. Mostly because I work a double shift, and I thought I better get it in when I was home between, or stick everyone with a cellphone selfie again! :)

 This is what I was going for yesterday but when it didn't work out I just started to get irritated and so I quit. I took a heart cookie cutter and placed the pencils all around (tighter together today than yesterday) and then stood above and used flash to blow out the shadow I cast.

 I am really getting my money's worth out of those pencils, and I've not even colored with them yet!

 some days the time just gets away from ya!

 Today we ate at the "soft opening" at my daughters new job. Pretty cool. After that I ran some errands and before I knew it it was time to get my husband from work. I had a really cool idea for my photo today... and once I set it up and took the photo, it was not as awesome as I imagined. So This picture ended up being my picture for today instead. Which although not my original idea, is still pretty cool, if I do say so myself.

35 RED VELVET OREO!!!

 They're real! A while back my daughter saw something about them on facebook, but it was apparently at the time just a cruel photoshopped joke (a hurtful one) well I guess Nabisco got hate mail or something and so they actually made them!! LIMITED edition for Valentines day. Pretty yummy! Made my whole day!

34 Splurged

 I worked overtime last week while my boss was on vacation. Considering I normally get maybe 30 hours a week, overtime was kind of a big deal. A little big bigger check meant I wanted to splurge a bit. So I bought myself some colored pencils, a foam board in both black and white, and a trifold... Am I drawing something? Nope! I wanted to photograph them! I am plseased with the results and happy I bought the supplies!

33 Color your day

 My neighbor girl, who just turned 6 was over today. She was watching me take this photo. She asked me why I was taking a picture when I hadn't even COLORED anything on the paper yet to take a picture OF? It was nice to have a kid, other than my own, question my motives for once. HA!

Everybody wants happiness, nobody wants pain, but you can't have a rainbow without some rain!
