day 2 Rain.

First off funny story. Yesterday my twelve year old comes in to my bedroom all nonchalantly... "Mom, do you have any vodka?" No explanation as if she was asking for a can of caffeine free soda. I let her know that no... I don't and then ask her why she would want vodka in the first place. Apparently its an ingredient in a "DIY" dry shampoo mix she saw on youtube. At least she didnt ask for OJ to go with it?

Day 2. Look at me. On a roll. I took my camera WITH me today. I drove into the next town over after work and on the way found this really nifty barn. I'm still leery of getting out and about and taking photos of places that look possibly occupied... AND it was raining. So this was taken from the side of the road, in the comfort, dryness and safety of my van. Had I not had my camera with me, and been doing this project I would have not been looking... I would have missed this cool barn with the broken door.

taken from the street in my van

Its raining. Has been all week so far. Its just annoying, wet and cold. But... I always see photos like these two and find them so cool... I was glad to have the chance to give it a try!

The top is my work on my way OUT OF THERE for the weekend. The bottom is a grave yard fence through my van window on my way into work. I wonder why they always have fences around grave yards? No ones running away are they?

Haha I am a funny girl this evening right?

 Today's Winning Photo

The doorknob to my house tells a story before you even walk in

Our doorknob is a hand me down, it was the doorknob at my husbands childhood home. My Father in law does not throw away anything that might be of use, and he still had this knob and put it on when we moved in, and needed a more secure lock.

It is super cool, and one of a kind. Also that faded purple mark? That is paint from my daughters fingers. Her and a friend painted their hands, and put a hand print each on the driveway... I guess on the way in, some paint rubbed off onto my knob. I was upset a bit at first, but now... I realize its just another memory. Another reason to smile when I think of the things my kids have done. Also a pretty cool looking photograph!
